How to Organize Golf Clubs

If you have ever wondered how to organize golf clubs the right way, you are not alone. The truth of the matter is that there is more than one good way to put golf clubs in order; however, this standard procedure works best if you have never organized clubs before and need a starting point.
First: Arrange clubs
Remove the clubs from your bag, and sort them into descending order. Next, clear the bag of any extra equipment like tees and balls. While your golf bag is empty, you may also want to take the opportunity to wipe off any debris or dirt that has collected.
Second: Replace the clubs inside the bag
Start by placing the woods on top. If there are separate slots in your bag, place them in descending order. If there is only one top pocket, place all of the wood clubs in that pocket. Keep the ball retrievers with the woods as well. Next, insert the longest irons into the pockets that are underneath the top pocket. Put the next shortest in the pocket to the right of the bag. This group usually contains the number 6, 7, 8 and 9 irons.
Third: Finish up with the putters
The putters are the last clubs you place in the bag. Put these in the very bottom slot so that you can get to them easily. Once all of your clubs are stored, work on returning all the little extras to the bag's various pockets. Tees, rain gear and balls can all remain in the side pocket for easy access. You may want to consider tucking in some sunscreen and insect repellent for the summer months.
