The Guide to Organizing Your Golf Bag

Organizing your golf bag is no small chore. With woods, putters, irons, balls, tees, scorecards and who knows what else, keeping your bag organized is not easy, but it is certainly important. Use this guide to organizing your golf bag to make the job a bit easier. Who knows? It may even improve your game.
Woods, irons and putters
Obviously, you get maximum storage space when you place your clubs in your golf bag with the handles pointing downward. Make sure you only carry the clubs you need. Many golfers do not use every club they carry in their bag, so do yourself — and your caddy — a favor and leave your infrequently used clubs at home.
Balls and tees
Storing your balls and tees in their own, larger containers in your golf bag ensures that they stay together. This also prevents these smaller items from falling out whenever you remove a club. Try knit pouches for your balls and neoprene or nylon containers for your tees. You can clip them to the outside of your golf bag or place them in the bag's pockets.
If you want to lower your golf score, organizing your bag is one way to get started. When your clubs and other golf equipment is exactly where you need it, when you need it, you can decrease the number of times you hold up the game looking for your favorite tee or ball for that sweet hook. When you focus on your game, rather than your bag, you are much more likely to get the results you want.
